After moving to Auvers-sur-Oise after his stay at the asylum in St-Rémy, Vincent decided to move into this inn owned by Arthur-Gustave Ravoux and his wife. The Ravoux's gave Vincent an upstairs room as well as space to set up a small studio.
The inn still stands today and receives a number of visitors each year.
